Where does a donation go?
Establishment
In 2023, the Wildcat Mountain Alpine Education Foundation established The Derek Pelletier Scholarship Fund, otherwise known as Derek’s Fund, to provide financial assistance to young ski racing athletes. The Foundation is committed to ensuring accessibility and competitive offerings for current and future generations of skiers.
As a former Program Director, club President, head coach, and parent of three racers Derek Pelletier was an integral member of the Wildcat Ski Team for over 10 years. Derek truly embodies the philosophies of the Wildcat Mountain Alpine Education Foundation and demonstrates a passion for youth ski racing and the opportunities the sport presents to transform a young skier into a true athlete, loyal teammate, and model citizen. Derek understands that athletic accomplishments alone do not define an individual, but the values and habits taught through athletics can shape an individual’s success. Derek's fund will provide increased financial support allowing athletes across the financial spectrum an opportunity to partake in this sport and expand competitive opportunities for all aspiring champions.
How to apply
Application is always open but must be received by October 31st in the calendar year to be considered for the upcoming winter season. Download the application here.
Completed applications deadline, postmarked on or before October 31st. Scholarship recipients will be notified by 45 days after receipt of application.
